Bio: Zynex was born in the town of Jegan, in the southern reaches of Felthespar. His father was a wealthy, well known merchant. He was very strict with Zynex, and taught him the value of hard work. Zynex learned there was no such thing as a free lunch, and anything he wanted, he had to get himself. When he was a child, he saw a group of hunters, and was fascinated by their bows. Not having enough money to buy a bow, he built one for himself, and tried to learn archery. He was constantly working on building a better bows and better arrows. When he was 16, an archery contest was held in Jegan. Zynex entered with his homemade bow, and suprised everyone by winning. He used the prize money to buy better materials for building his bow.
After his win, Zynex travelled around Felthespar, and even to other countries, looking for archery contests to enter. He didn't always win, but when he lost, he always spent time training with the winner. By the time he was 19, he was an expert marksman, and never lost any more contests. In 760, the town of Jegan was attacked by Lenghe. Rather than wait for reinforcements from Felthespar, Zynex rallied the people and fought back. He devised a brilliant coup, aided by his sharpshooting. By the time the knights arrived, the Lengetty had fled. The Military Council was so impressed by his skill that they invited him to join the Knighthood, and train archers in the Military. He accepted, and within 3 years had become a Gold Knight, as well as giving the Knighthood a fearsome archery department. When Cildar left the Military Council in 769, Zynex replaced him as Lord of House Lurin. |
