Karice Contel
Born: 733 SE
Bio: Karice had a rather sheltered upbringing. She was the daughter of an esteemed knight, and lived in a very upper-class household. She might have grown up to be spoiled and selfish, but when she was 10 years old, her father was killed in battle. Although she was filled with grief, she felt it was her responsibility as the only child of her family to follow his path. To this end, she took her father's sword and devoted her life to warfare. She was often made fun of and looked down upon because she was a girl, so she developed a very strict training regimen to become a better fighter than all the boys. She challenged many of them to fights, and was never defeated. When she was 15, she joined the Knighthood. Even though she had gained the respect of all her peers, she never stopped her strict training. When she was 19, she was made a trainer of knights, and she garnered the respect and admiration of everyone she taught. At 26, she was given a position on the Military High Council, and has served there for the past 11 years.
Karice is very strict, but also very kind. She won't put up with any nonsense, especially from hot-headed young men who think they're better than her simply because they're male. She has a strong personality, and is never afraid to challenge someone to fight, especially if it's to teach them a lesson. She has known Kulara longer than anyone else, as she became his friend when he first came to Felthespar. |
