Calvin Darmani
Born: 695 SE
Bio: Calvin Darmani is the Knighthood's greatest hero. He is an idol that all members of the Knighthood want to be like, and his legends are told throughout Felthespar. No one knows where he originally came from, but in 716 SE he showed up in Felthespar. He met Lepreux Messie, and the two became great friends. Lepreux got Calvin interested in joining the Knighthood, but he couldn't decide which division to be a part of. In the end, he decided to join them all. Within 5 years of his arrival, he had acheived the highest possible ranks in each division, and was promoted to Knight of the Sun.
Calvin's influence and affect on the Knighthood was phenominal. No part of the Knighthood was left untouched by his greatness. He made great changes to the Military, improving training regimes and advancing new logistical plans. In the Arcanum, he pioneered research into several new types of rune scripts, helped the Dragon Husbandry department create plans for wyverns, and wrote several treatise on magical theory. In the Church, he instituted several new public services, and reworked the Church's funding and spending. He was everywhere, doing everything. Before long, he had been made Lord Grand Councilor of the Knighthood. Calvin fell in love with a priestess in the church, but a relationship with her could have been scandalous. To preserve the integrity of the Lord Grand Councilor, he never let their relationship become public. During this time, Calvin was forced to take a squire, and he chose an orphaned child, named Atheme Tethen, that he had befriended. After the death of his love, Calvin fell into deep mourning, and never quite recovered. In 755, he suddenly embarked on a journey to slay the Dragon King, Bahamut. Before he departed, he was given the title Knight of the Heavens, a rank created to honor him. He never returned from his quest. Two years later, he was proclaimed dead, and all Felthespar mourned for months. He lives on in the hearts of the people of Felthespar, as a legend. |
